At the end of a boating day, the crew may be ready for a before dinner snack.
Here are two tasty snack ideas especially popular with the children. They can be made before hand and ready to serve once docked or anchored.
Cheesy Carrot Balls
You will need:
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 oz grated cheddar cheese
1 carrot, grated
How to make:
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Use slightly wet hands to roll into balls. Depending on the size you make, the recipe is enough for 1 - 2 dozen balls.
No Bread Ham & Cheese Pinwheels
Ingredients:
1 - 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
4 dill pickles chopped (try green relish instead of dill pickles)
2 Tablespoons prepared mustard
3 Tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)
5 slices of ham
How to make:
Combine cream cheese with pickles or relish, mustard and chives (if used). Spread mixture on ham slices and roll them up. Wrap each roll in foil and chill in fridge overnight or for at least 2 hours. Unwrap and slice.
